THE PERSON

BEHIND THE LENS

Three people at an outdoor event: a woman with long hair taking a photo or video with a camera, an older man with gray hair smiling, and a woman with short hair looking at her phone, all in front of a large building and surrounded by other attendees.

Working in film and digital, Kara is drawn to what's already there: fleeting gestures, stillness between moments, the things that exist only once. Her approach is observational, never intrusive. She trusts that the most unguarded moments are the ones that endure.

where your story lives

Each wedding and lifestyle session is a singular story, told through light, timing, and genuine connection. The images that result are quiet and intentional, reflective of the people within them — not a performance of them.

Based in San Francisco and frequently traveling to Los Angeles, Orange County, New York, and Connecticut, Kara works with clients who value presence over perfection and want photographs that feel as true in ten years as they do today.
